The Clamshell Foundation Fireworks Show over 3 Mile Harbor
Summer 2024 Update: WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
WHEN: July 13
*RAIN DATE: July 14
The Fireworks Show is a three-decade long tradition staged over Three Mile Harbor in East Hampton. The fireworks almost faded into history, but in 2009, The Clamshell Foundation revived the popular event and has taken it over every year since. The fireworks is an important tradition in East Hampton and was one of our founders, Rossetti Perchick, favorite nights of the year.

History
The annual fireworks display started in the early 1970’s when George Plimpton, the late writer, actor and founder of The Paris Review, began hosting fireworks parties at his summer homes in Sagaponack and Amagansett. Because of Mr. Plimpton’s love for Paris, the fireworks have always been scheduled for the first Saturday after Bastille Day (the French national holiday that celebrates the end of the French monarchy and the beginning of the modern republic)
Fire Works by Grucci
The Gruccis of New York will stage the fireworks production. They are a fifth-generation, family-owned and operated company on Long Island, New York.
